Our restaurant is located in Campllong, a village near Girona

Can Barris is set in quiet, attractive surroundings, but within easy reach of the nearby Girona-Costa Brava Airport, 10 km from Girona city and 25 km from the Costa Brava.

 

The restaurant has four indoor dining rooms and a large terrace for the summer months

The terrace leads directly onto a protected playground where children can play in complete safety.

After taking over from his parents Joan Barris and Maria Cufí, Jordi Barris is the third generation of chefs in the family

The chef and his team are responsible for preparing the dishes that have made our restaurant so successful.

 

This popular restaurant was first opened in 1949 by Josep Barris and his wife, Nita Solench

Grandmother Nita’s skills in preparing “platillos” and, in particular, pan-roasted snails and stewed pig’s trotters brought immediate success to the restaurant, which we are still enjoying today. The prestige of the establishment was consolidated by the second generation, Joan Barris Solench and his wife, Maria Cufí Porta, who continued in the footsteps of the founders, making pan-roasted snails the house speciality.
